
On 19 December Barwaaqo Voluntary Organization – BVO conducted a validation workshop for the environmental stakeholder’s workshop of Geed-deeble Botanic Garden for Master plan development at Mansoor Hotel Hargeisa, to discuss the master plan for the development of the Geed-Deeble Botanic Garden (GDBG). and to provide additional information to the participants on the progress of the GEED-DEEBLE Botanic Garden project with the participation of members from the Ministers of Environment, Finance, Public Works, the Governor of Marodijeh Region, and the Ambassador of Taiwan.

It was presented and shared in the Master plan and development of Geed-Deeble Botanic Garden (GDBG). There were presentations by members of HoArec and SIDA that they were intended to understand and how it will became this Botanic Garden in the near future.

Government officials, most of whom are environmental issues, also spoke, welcoming and praising the Botanic Garden and noting that the country desperately needed this place and encouraged them to continue their efforts to develop or improve it. They were all agreed to support the this Botanic garden and BVO organization in implementing this project and also thanked HoARec and SIDA for their funding support.

Finally, participants thanked Khadra Omer, BVO Chairperson and wishes all of them to work together and protect our environment.
