The Somaliland Finnish Association (FSA), together with BVO, recently visited the Geed-Deeble Botanic Garden in Geed-Deeble village, 25 km north of Hargeisa, and then witnessed first-hand the progress and how important it is to protect this botanic garden. Mrs Khadra Omer Hassan, Chairperson of the Barwaaqo Voluntary Organization, welcomed and noted that this is an important tourist destination and botanic garden in the country and it is the largest in the Horn of Africa with its size.

They said that they would visit here many times and that it would be a wonderful place in the near future to contribute to climate change efforts in the Horn of Africa and around the world.
