On August 25, BVO collected and procured Yeheb-nut seeds and plants and raised them in the Geed-deeble Botanic Garden (GBG) nursery.

The community was trained in the nursery and distributed seeds and planting materials, and they seeded and planted yeheb nuts on their farms.

This will teach them how to cultivate the seeds, grow them, process germinations, determine what types of soil can germinate, how much water is required, and what climates require these seeds.

BVO and the community shared their experiences related to restoration activities. They created and exchanged new ideas to maintain restoration activities in the intervention areas through enclosure, natural regeneration, seedling planting, and direct seeding. This will be a continuous activity that the community will practice throughout the project period.
