Community awareness and training on the use, management, and propagation of the species

On August 26, 2022, the BVO conducted community awareness training in Geed-Deeble. The awareness training was held in the Geed-deeble Botanic Garden and was attended by 50 people from various communities in Geed-deeble. Participants were trained in the use, management, and propagation of the species, as well as the process of creating new plants or seeds. During the training, participants shared their knowledge and experience related to the use, management, and propagation of the species through group discussions and presentations.

To improve the level of community awareness and understanding of the program, the BVO Chair-lady and executive director explained in detail about the Geed-Deeble Botanic Garden, how the program was initiated, and the importance and advantages of the botanic garden for the nation and for their community as well.

At the end of the training, the community understood the importance of the program to their community.
