Food security and proper livelihoods are not in good terms in most parts of Somaliland as people are suffering due to famines, hunger, and lack of basic necessities. In this case, BVO fights hunger and promotes poverty reduction. Additionally, we pay special attention to the enhancement of food security and nutrition in many households who live with food insecurity in the remote areas of the country.

We also work on linking small beekeepers to honey value chain private companies to create a sustainable market base for their products. Furthermore, we provide capacity building and skill training to the farmers to maximize their production.
